It is located slightly north of downtown, off of Highway 281. It opened in 1963, and was designed by George Hoffman. Olmos Basin boasts a 6,870 yard layout from the championship tees with a slope rating of 71.0. Olmos has been the site of numerous men’s and women’s amateur championships. Narrow, tree-lined fairways require accuracy with your driver. Occasional water hazards or creeks will come into play. The par 3’s are long and demanding. Some of the par 5’s are reachable for the long hitters, with two quality shots. The four set of tees on this course, allow all golfers to test their skills at this highly popular track.
